NRS 2024
The NHVR will conduct the third iteration of the National Roadworthiness Survey (NRS) in July 2024. NRS 2024 will run for an approximate period of 12 weeks across all Australian states and territories.
The National Roadworthiness Survey provides a health check of Australia’s heavy vehicle fleet, letting the NHVR monitor the make up of the heavy vehicle fleet and understand how compliant it is.
This information allows us to determine where the NHVR and industry are making improvements in vehicle safety in addition to where more focus may be needed.
The results of the survey will allow the NHVR to continue to target safety programs in key safety areas and provide feedback to operators on their vehicle roadworthiness. Through a series detailed mechanical inspections, the NHVR will collect essential data and information to support future safety initiatives and compliance activities.
