CLOCS-A Presented at TMC 2024

We have had a very encouraging interaction with industry on Day 1 at TMC on October 22, when providing an update and further information in applying for CLOCS-A operator registrations under the new Australian construction and logistics standard that went live 1 July 2024. Our speakers included Simone Reinertsen, BILD Group, Glyn Castanelli, NHVAS Auditor and Karyn Welsh CEO CILT Australia.

This presentation was followed later in the afternoon by two further sessions that focussed on vehicle requirements. Scott Grimme from Fibreglass Transport and Equipment and Chris Loose ATA presented on Government Infrastructure projects that require side under run protection to be fitted and noted that it is mandatory for trucks and trailers aiming to be accredited to the CLOCS-A Silver standard. Chris Loose, ATA in a further presentation, later provided an overview on the 2.55 metre Safer Freight Vehicles and the requirement to have conspicuity marking that Chris said will be mandatory for all trucks and trailers accredited under CLOCS-A.

The event had over 300+ attendees. Kicked off by past ATA Chair Geoff Crouch followed by an inspiring keynote from PACCAR Managing Director, Damian Smethurst. Attendees were treated to the latest and greatest on truck productivity, brake technology, innovation in emissions and side underrun protection. A big thank you to our speakers.
