Gabby O’Neill presented at the CLOCS-A Planning Workshop on the 23rd of February.
The National Road Safety Strategy 2021-30 was released in December. It represents an approach agreed by all governments within Australia to address road trauma over the next decade. The Strategy recognises the importance of the Safe System themes of Safe Roads, Safe Vehicles and Safe Road Use and how Safe Speed Management plays a crucial role across the other Safe System elements.
The two key priorities that relate to CLOCS-A are Heavy Vehicle Safety and Vulnerable Road Users. To a smaller degree the priorities of Infrastructure Planning and Investment, Vehicle Safety and Workplace Road Safety are also tied into the development of CLOCS-A.
